I was there in the aftermath of Travon Martin's murder. His death was a tragedy. He did absolutely nothing to justify the violence against him.

Sorry ---I lived there for 15 years ---not 125! BUT IT SEEMED LIKE 125 years..or more...SUPPORT THE POLICE AND DIALOGUE BETWEEN COPS AND CITIZENS.

Ricardo : I appreciate your art in itself however...stay in line with the facts! many OF THESE YOUNG black men (not boys) are simply presenting themselves in an aggressive hostile way and triggering VIOLENCE against them...carrying guns..running from police..waving guns at cops etc...the real VICTIMS are those who have to live in these ghettos where young punks roam the streets and commit violent crime agains the citizens...I know.. I lived in a changing south St. Louis neighborhood for 125 years and had to close my businesses since the area became UNLIVEABLE!

About Ricardo Levins Morales

Ricardo Levins Morales

I was born in the coffee growing mountains of western Puerto Rico and moved to the US at a time of great social upheaval. My art has grown up inseparable entwined with my activism and sense of community. Art, to me, is a collection of medicinal herbs and nutrients that can help individuals, communities and societies overcome the cultural toxins that keep them from making needed changes. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I work out of a storefront studio. I live in close relationship with the social movements, organizers and activists who inspire my work. Additional posters, notecards and buttons are available at my studio web store at www.rlmartstudio.com. You are welcome to browse both locations.
